When should the painting be done in a renovation?
Typically in two stages. First, mist coating new plaster as soon as it's dry. Second, final coats after carpentry is installed.
Do you spray or roll?
Both. For empty new builds, airless spraying provides a flawless finish quickly. For smaller extensions, we use rollers and brushes.
Can you paint over fresh plaster immediately?
No, fresh plaster must be fully dry. This can take 3 days to 4 weeks. We moisture test surfaces before painting.
What is a 'mist coat'?
A watered-down emulsion applied to bare plaster. It penetrates the surface to seal it and prevent peeling.
